That’s because both scenarios are about your choice being taken away from you, rather than about you being forced to remain in one seat. You want to have a seat you like, so when a teacher takes away that right (or another student), you feel upset. *flies away*

Ugh, now I feel bad. This one guy once took my seat that is way at the back, and so I had to choose another but turns out it was a girl's seat AND SOMEHOW, the guy's seat was also taken. So yea, we were kinda stuck idk what happened exactly. OP are you by any chance in an Intro to Politics class?

in my computer science classes in college we usually worked with laptops out and the only plugs in the entire class were at the far wall of the classroom, so there were wars for those seats. Some years after they put plugs for every seat and there was no need for wars anymore.
